How to Draw A Suit. A dress can be suitable for many different occasions. It can be worn to weddings, funerals, and work every day.

Also, check our Unicorn Coloring Pages.

It also represents a certain way of life and has been associated with everything from TV lawyers to government agents and spies.

Although we’ve all seen many dresses in real life and on our TV and movie screens, learning how to design a dress can be difficult.

It is challenging if you know the right steps, so luckily, you’re on the right guide to learn these steps!

Our step-by-step guide to drawing a dress will show you how to create this drawing in style!

How to Draw A Suit

Step 1

This first step of our how-to-draw-a-dress guide will show you a plan when adding pen lines.

You can use a pencil to replicate the lines shown in gray to guide you as you add each piece in the next few steps.

Once that’s done, you can go over the lines of the head and collar with the pencil, as shown in the reference image. You will also add some smaller details while using the pen to draw.

Step 2

Now that you’ve drawn your soldier’s head and collar, you can add the chest in this step.

Following our reference image, you can slide the suit’s opening and flap over his chest. Then you can extend the tie with a few straight lines from the collar.

Finally, you can draw the sides of his chest with straighter lines.

Step 3

For this step of our tutorial on drawing a suit, we will add the arms and hem of the jacket.

First, you should start drawing the rest of his jacket. You can extend the crown of the jacket down from where it is buttoned at the chest. Then you can draw the sides of it along with some pockets.

Once his jacket’s chest is complete, you can add arms extending from his shoulders.

That’s all for this step, and once you’re happy with how it looks, you’re ready for the next step!

Step 4

Your dress design looks great! For this part, we will add the hands and the first leg for the design.

You can start with your hands reaching the ends of his sleeves and staying relaxed at his side.

Then you can use straighter lines from his waist to make the left leg.

You can then finish off this leg by adding the shoe at the bottom and then with a line running down the middle near the bottom.

Step 5

It’s almost time to colour your drawing in the final step, but first, we need to add some final details in this step of our dress drawing guide.

The main thing to add in this step is drawing the remaining leg.

This leg will look very similar to the one you drew in the previous step. However, the foot is at a slightly different angle and points to the right.

That completes all the details of this guide! You can also erase the remaining pencil lines if you still need to do so.

Before proceeding, also add any remaining details you want in the image!

You could draw a background to show what environment this man is in. You can also add accessories to him like a briefcase or even some spy gadgets to show he is a government spy!

Step 6

In this final step of designing your dress, you can show us how creative you can be!

For our reference image, we used black for the suit, bright red for the tie and dark blue for the shirt.

However, this is only one possibility, and you should get creative and have fun!

Dresses can come in many different colours and styles, so you can draw some pattern details onto the dress to personalize it further.

Choosing colours is only part of the fun, though, and feel free to experiment with different artistic tools and mediums, too.

You can achieve brighter, more vibrant colours with acrylic paints and coloured pens and markers.

For more muted tones, you could use coloured pencils, watercolours, or pastels to finish it off. It’s up to you, and we can’t wait to see what amazing colours and mediums you use!
